NBC has officially greenlit “The Voice: Celebrity,” a brand-new spinoff of the Emmy-winning singing competition, with Keke Palmer set to host and Joe Jonas among the confirmed celebrity coaches.
The series, slated for a 2027 premiere, will feature well-known personalities from film, television, music, and sports competing for charity rather than a recording contract.
Unlike the flagship format, the celebrity edition condenses the competition into a tighter production window with live shows and a faster elimination pace.
Joe Jonas joins the coaching panel alongside additional stars still to be announced, marking his first turn as a mentor on the franchise.
What This Means
The Voice has spawned numerous international adaptations since its 2011 U.S. debut, but a celebrity-centered version has been rumored for years. NBC’s move follows the ratings success of celebrity editions on competing networks, including “Celebrity Family Feud” and “The Masked Singer.” By leaning into charitable giving and star power, the network aims to capture both the show’s loyal fanbase and casual viewers drawn to familiar faces.
