The Penguin Season 3 Release Date
HBO’s critically acclaimed The Penguin has been renewed for a third season, with Colin Farrell returning as Oz Cobb. Following the Season 2 finale’s power shift in Gotham’s underworld, Season 3 is targeting a 2026 release on HBO/Max.

Plot: What We Know
Season 3 picks up after Oz Cobb’s consolidation of power as Gotham’s premier crime boss. With Sofia Falcone’s fate uncertain and the Falcone crime family fractured, new alliances and betrayals will reshape the underworld. The series continues its grounded, Scorsese-inspired crime drama tone — think The Sopranos meets Gotham.
Showrunner Lauren LeFranc returns. Matt Reeves (The Batman) executive produces via 6th & Idaho. The series is a spin-off of The Batman (2022) and bridges to The Batman Part II (2026). Expect deeper exploration of Oz’s psychology, his relationship with his mother Francis, and the cost of absolute power in a city that eats its own.
