Plot: What We Know
Pushpa 2: The Rule picks up after Pushpa Raj’s (Allu Arjun) rise to power in the red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. With SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil) now his sworn enemy, the conflict escalates into an all-out war. Pushpa must consolidate his empire while facing threats from law enforcement, rival gangs, and internal betrayals.
Director Sukumar has promised “bigger, bloodier, and more emotional” stakes. The film explores Pushpa’s transformation from a coolie to a kingpin, his relationship with Srivalli (Rashmika Mandanna), and the consequences of his rule. Expect signature mass moments, iconic dialogues, and Devi Sri Prasad’s chart-topping soundtrack.
Shot across Hyderabad, Maredumilli forests, and Japan (for a key action sequence), the film boasts a reported budget of ₹400-500 crores, making it one of India’s most expensive productions. The “Jathara” sequence and a massive port action set-piece are highlighted set-pieces.
