The Last of Us Season 3 Release Date
HBO’s critically acclaimed video game adaptation The Last of Us has been renewed for a third season. Following Season 2’s adaptation of The Last of Us Part II, Season 3 will cover the remaining story and potentially original content. Production is targeting a 2025/2026 HBO/Max US release.

Plot: What We Know
Season 3 will conclude the adaptation of The Last of Us Part II and potentially explore original storylines beyond the games. The season will deal with the aftermath of Season 2’s events in Seattle, Ellie’s quest for closure, and the expanding conflict between Jackson, the WLF, and the Seraphites.
Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin return as showrunners. The series has been HBO’s biggest debut in a decade, with Season 2 averaging 30M+ viewers per episode in the US. The show has also driven massive sales of the PlayStation games.
